gst debit note

we have purchased material from a vendor on sep18. in oc18 we have returns some item and issue a debit note and send through courier. but now party not show in Gst portal and when we try to upload debit note then error showing. now please suggest what to do. can We file gstr1 without showing the debit note.if any issue arrive in future
