Gst composition dealer supply zero rated goods

My client is a composition dealer. He is now supplying some zero rated goods. can we pay 1% composition rate only to the extend of taxable sales alone excluding zero rated sales. Pl mention the relevant section or notification which says so if possible. thanks in advance
