whats the gst audit limit applicable for the FY 2019-20? is it 2CR or 5 CR?

The GST Audit limit for "FY 2018-19" has been increased to Rs. 5 crores from earlier Rs. 2 crores. A new Proviso has been inserted to Rule 80(3) of the CGST Rules 2017 vide Notification No. 16/2020 - Central Tax, dated 23rd March 2020, regarding this matter.

If your Aggregate Turnover does not exceeds Rs. 5 crores, then GST Audit ( GSTR-9C ) is not mandatory for FY 2018-19.

For FY 2019-20, the GST Audit limit is not yet specified. So you can consider it to be Rs. 2 crores [ As per Rule 80(3) of the CGST Rules 2017 ].
