Quick Summary
This discussion addresses a common issue where a business owner has a GST certificate linked to an old PAN card, but now uses a different, newer PAN card for income tax returns. The core problem is having two active PANs, which is an offence. The advice focuses on surrendering the duplicate PAN, obtaining a replacement for the lost original PAN, and ensuring all future filings align with the correct, single PAN associated with the GST registration.

Having more than one PAN is an offense. Please surrender your 2nd PAN card and file return only on 1st PAN which is mentioned in GST certificate.
The querist has already mentioned that he lost his pan card . He can get the old pan card after getting data validated from ADHAAR. THE MOMENT HE LOSES HIS PAN CARD HE MUST LODGE A GD IN THE NEAREST POLICE STATION.
HE MUST ALSO INFORM THE GST REGISTRATION OFFICE.
A PERSON CANNOT HAVE TWO PAN CARDS HE MUST SURRENDER ONE PAN.
THE QUERIST MUST ANSWER WHETHER THE NEW PAN CARD POSSESSES THE SAME NUMBER AS THE OLD ONE.
