I received gratuity payment from my previous employer in FY 15-16 (about 2L rupees)
I am filling form ITR 4S (I have some business income). I do not see any section under which I can indicate receipt of gratuity payment.

If it is a taxable gratuity, you need to show it against income from salary head in ITR 4S. But if it is an exempt gratuity, you need not show any amount for gratuity in ITR.

I also realized that there is an option of EI (exempt income). It deals with interest and dividend components, but there is an "others" field.
can one enter Gratuity and Life insurance payments in "others" section under EI?
