Hello,
I have to amend Memorandum of Association for 3 old companies which were incoporated prior to year 2000.
1) To amend MOA, do I need a soft copy of the old MOA? I actually have the copy of the old MOA in paper format.
2) If yes, how do I get a soft copy of the same from the MCA? There is an 'inspection' function which I believe is in the 'View Public Documents' which costs I think Rs. 50, is this correct? Or will I have to type the entire thing? |

Hello Yash
You can get the soft copy by paying Rs.50/- and look in view public documents.
The copy would be in pdf and not word so you cant type.
The other option is , you have the copy in paper format, so scan the same , it will be soft copy.
With regard to amendment, say eg: change of name of company from ABC to DEF, first find those pages where
the word "ABC" is available in Soft Copy or Hard Copy, make a note of page number which needs such amendment.
Then you can scan only those pages in word format, make necessary corrections or type as required, and convert to PDF.
Later you can replace only those amended Pages (pdf copy) with your actual soft copy of MOA.
This way you can avoid typing entire MOA.
However it is always advisable, to keep one word copy of MOA, so it can be amended as and when required.
