DEAR SIR,

CAN I GET OPINION ON EXCISE MATTERS. IF A COMPANY IS MAKING EXCISABLE MATERIAL AND SELL TO B COMPANY . IN SUCH A SITUATION A COMPANY IS CROSSING LIMIT OF GENERAL EXEMPTION OF EXCISE . IF B COMPANY INSTEAD OF PURCHASING MATERIAL FROM A COMPANY GET THE JOB WORK FROM A COMAPNY WHAT WILL BE THE EXCISE DUTY LIABILITY? TO A OR B.

GENERAL EXEMPTION MEANS TURNOVER UPTO WHICH NO REGISTRATION UNDER EXCISE ACT REQUIRED.

How? Jobwork is also liable to excisable

I think u r talking about ssi exemption. If the limit exceeds then there is a liablity of A co. to pay excise duty on its clearances.
If A co is a job worker then also there is a liability of A co. but A co. can take 214/86.

IF BOTH COMPANY A AND B 'S PARTNER ARE SAME, SO WE CAN SELL EXCISABLE MATERIALS FROM A TO B ?

AND IS THERE ANY LIMIT IF BOTH COMPNAY'S PARTNER ARE SAME ?

Dear Sir,

I want to know about excise on cutting & threading work of GI tubes and tubes which are used in Agriculture. If anyone purchase pipes. After that he cuts in various sizes and threading on it. He use some machnery to cuting & threading. So please guide me "Is he liable to pay excise duty?" and tell about exemption limit.
