Sinking fund or Debenture redemption fund  is  fixed amount set aside out  of profit  every year  is to be  invested  outside the business , for redemption of debenture , out of the fund company purchase either investment or an insurance policy . The investment are sold or policy is surrendered on the date of  redemption in order to obtain money required to pay off debenture holders .
