In my opinion, Resume should give details of articleship, exact nature of work done. This information should be presented in such a way, that the reader comes to know how your work experience will help their organisation, and how it makes you a better candidate than all others.
Job prospects for freshers and experienced people as well are not so good in the current times. In ICAI campus placement, only 508 students out of 3842 got jobs. In case of experienced professionals, the difficulty is in job switching, as there are lot of factors like job security, attractiveness of the offer, comparative analysis of the current job and the offer available from a 2-3 year perspective etc.
CAs can get an accounting, auditing, taxation job in any industry easily as compared to jobs with work profile of Strategy Consulting, Research etc, and even if one gets that profile, the work quality wont be good in the beginning (there can always be exceptions though).
