Hi Shivaraj,
Both terms are used alternatively and there is not much difference when the terms are used for movement of goods,
however for carrying of passengers term 'Transportation' will be appropriate.

As per the business point of view both are used in different place as per my view.
The freight mainly used to indicate the " The transportation charge for goods carreige"
and transportation charge we can use in goods transport exp and other traveling exp

As per business point of view Freight charges means materials/goods moved form one place to other place. But Transportation charges means busniess transporations like employee pickup and drop for office and business tours/travel.
