Pls define freight V/s Carriage.

Carriage and Freight are synonymous terms. In accounting terminology, 'freight' is used by Americans whereas British use the word 'carriage' and both has the same meaning i.e. carriage inward means freight charge paid to bring the machinary / materials to plant.
