Want to know:

1. When we are the consumer and the transporter is unregistered under gst whether anybody is liable and how will the payment be.

2. whether a charitable organisation who is unregistered needs to pay. In case yes, then how will the gst be paid without registering.

dear manjunath ji

if customer is unregisregered then gta would be registered, & if both are unregistered then no need to pay gst.

yes, if both are not registered there is no tax liability. if service receiver is registered, he needs to pay the GTA @ 5% in RCM and can take full credit.

I want to know , is freight charges are eligible for ITC. in many videos in YouTube they claim that it's eligible for ITC. pls clarify
only the gst paid is eligible for itc not the freight charges
sir, RCM on freight charges are eligible for ITC. if yes then rate of GST pls.

sir itc on freight is allowed & it is taxable at 18%

but GST on gta is 5% & it is not allowed for ITC

what if transporter and buyer (Manufacturer or dealer)  both are registered, who will be liable to pay GST.

buyer will be liable

when he charge tax in the invoice, buyer can pay to the transporter and avail the ITC for the same..
