can v claim GST 5%ON FREIGHT charged by transporter. This FREIGHT paid on transportation of material after purchase of material for trading

Only GTA is taxable under Transportation of Goods

If GTA pays GST

GTA has 2 options-

12% GST with ITC *

OR

5% GST with no ITC*

No you cannot take ITC , ...
Infact you have do RCM on the same.
Applicability of Reverse Charge as per Notification No. 13/2017- Central Tax (Rate) Dt : 28.06.2017
