I am working in Germany with a resident permit and working as a freelancer for a USA company and paid to an Indian NRE account registered with a German address. Do I need to pay tax in India on freelancer work or do I need to declare German tax authorities my second source of income?

No tax liability as per income tax act. Need to check with German Tax authority for any tax liability.
