Hello!
I was a dealer in Kolkata (W. Bengal).
I made an inter-state sale to another dealer in Assam. The dealer issued the required Form C as proof for interstate purchase and i submitted the same to the respective officer of my area but the officer is not accepting the Form C and is asking for proof of payment made by the purchaser.
The purchaser has not paid the due amount and therefore, i am not able to submit and payment proof.
Please clear my doubt if the Sales Tax Authority can reject my submission of Form C. I have paid all my taxes and filed all the returns. Can a Sales Tax authority reject any Statutory Form issued by another State's Commercial Tax Department?
If possible, also mention the acts against your explainations.
Thank you so much.
Regards,
