Hi friends, respected seniors,

Recently I was assigned a task namely to prepare Forms 16 for all the employees of my sir's client, and I kicked off the work with searching Form 16 format in MS Excel all over the internet, surprisingly the ones I found didn't interest me, at the very moment I thought of preparing the form myself,

luckily I succeeded..

I have prepared myself this Form 16 both Part A and Part B.

Good Format

But Please note that

1.You can Issue Part B of Form 16 in any format you want there is no problem

2.But Part A of Form 16 in any case have to be downloaded only from TRACES.Your attention is invited to the CBDT circulars 04/2013 dated 17.04.2013, CBDT Circular No. 03/2011 dated 13-5-2011 and CBDT Circular No. 01/2012 dated 9-4-2012 on the Issuance of certificate for Tax Deducted at Source in Form 16/16A as per IT Rules 1962. It is now mandatory for all deductors to issue TDS certificates after generating and downloading the same from “TDS Reconciliation Analysis and Correction Enabling System” or https://contents.tdscpc.gov.in/

1.TDS Certificates Downloaded from TRACES only Stands Valid.

2.If you issued TDS Certificates in any other mode than from TRACES it is nothing but you have not issued TDS Certificate.

3.As per Rule 31A of the IT Act it is mandatory for Every deductor to issue TDS Certificates timely

Sl. No.	Form	Periodicity	Due Date
1	16	Annual	By 31st day of May of the financial year immediately following the financial year in which the income was paid and tax deducted
2	16A	Quarterly	Within fifteen days from the due date for furnishing the statement of tax deducted at source under rule 31A

If you have not made request for download with in above dates is nothing but you have not issued TDS certificates.

Yes.Delay in requesting certificates may involve a fine of Rs. 100 per day u/s 272(A)(g) subject to an upper limit of the tax deducted.

1)To download the Form 16/Form 16A, registration is required at TRACES website

2)To view the tutorial on how to download Form 16 from TRACES, click here

3)To view the tutorial on how to download Form 16A from TRACES, click here

4)Password for form 16/16A file is your TAN number

5)After downloading the zip file from TRACES website, you have to convert the zip file into PDF Form 16/form 16A files. For this, you need PDF Generation Utility, which can be downloaded from TRACES website.
