Form 16 and Form 26AS are same??

Form 16 is issued by employer. It has all the details like employer details, employee details , salaries paid, tax deducted etc.
26as is more or less same but it has all the financial transanxtions done in your pan

Form 16 is issued by employer computation of income and tax declaration (I.e TDS).
Form 26AS is having all details of TAX declaration from any source.

Form 16 - From Your Employer or (Form 16A from Your Customers if you are dealing any service or Contract works)

Form 26AS - It's on IT portal. It had all your tds values like Your Form 16 TDS details (value of TDS), Bank deduct TDS on deposit, Any customers deduct TDS for the Service from you...

Simply said.,
Form 26AS is Your all TDS values shown under one From its on IT portal...
Form 16 / 16A from One TAN holder....

Form 16 contain only detail of tds deducted by employers on salary while 26AS has total tax credit available to an assessee including tds on salaries, non salary, tax deposited i.e. Self assessment tax, advance tax,tcs and refunds.

Every employer issue form 16 to the employee when TDS Deducted from the salaries of employees and download latest form 16 in excel format for AY 2018-19 with automatic calculations.
