dear frients,

a new ca notification (icai website faq 52) says that we shall be eligible to write our ca final exam only after 2.5yrs of articleship,for nov07 and may08 passouts(future),

all earlier batches preceeding us were eligible to write the exam in 2 yrs after articlehsip,

let us all join together and send mails to the instutute to grant us the same benefit that were grantedto the earlier batches. the notification is affecting us and we with our collective efforts can change this.

yes and the 2.5 yrs thing actually translates to a gap of 3 years frm the PE2 attempt to the Final's attempt.

even i hope that our collective efforts can change this. but i am afraid of the human tendency that we tend to accept a change, even if its negative towards us. while moving uphill, we often feel lazy and accept the fact that our target is far off and its better to submit to our fates.

If we can overcome this, we might as well bring on a change.

I have the same feelings, I cleared pe2 in nov 07 & as per institutes new rules my attempt would be due in nov2010.I don't think its correct, some provision should be made for us.
