It should be classified as fixed assets... furniture and fixtures

If it's used in office then You can account under Fixed Asset head. no need doubts.

But,

The Question is doubtful as "company buy chairs for employees". So, Only doubt..

If it is used in the premises of office/factory, include it in furniture & fixtures.
