First Stage Dealer

We’re trading company and dealing electronic parts, electric parts, mechanical parts and chemical materials.

Import these products from Japan, China and ASEAN countries mainly and provide them to Indian market.

Clients are mainly Tier 1 and Tier 2 manufacturer of electric home appliances and auto mobiles in India.

From my understanding, if our client (manufacturer in India) import the above product by itself, they can balance out the Countervailing Duty which paid by them with the Excise Duty which will be paid by their consumer.

But if our company import the product and sell them to our client, the Countervailing Duty will be only cost for our client.

Can we solve the above problem by getting First Stage Dealer certificate?

Or still there will be some problem even if we get the same?

What is the procedure to get "First Stage Dealer" certificate?

Please let me know if there is any agent in Bangalore to get this certificate?

you can register yourself with central excise as 1st stage dealer ( importer) and pass on the cvd to your manufacturing buyer by issuing dealer's invoice and making entries in register RG23D
