no such relaxation but you have an option to hold AGM after 18 month of incrp

the first AGM should have been held with in 18 months from the date of incorporation of the company .

For holding AGM you need to comply section 166 ofcouse but along with section 210. Therefore, in order to determine the date of first AGM plese refer section 166 along with section 210 and accordingly you need to hold your AGM within 9 month from the date of closing of Annual Accounts.

In case you have closed your books on 31/3/2012, you must hold your AGM by 31/12/2012 as per Section 210. There is no exemption from this.
In case you have extended your financial year upto 31/3/2014 with the approval of ROC, you can hold AGM within 18 months of incorporation as per Section 166(1).
