For theory and conceptual clarity you can refer to any teacher's notes (priority - Praveen Sharma Sir)
For questions, stick to ICAI material, I.e. study mat, PM, RTP, MTP and past exam papers. Most exam questions come from ICAI material only

I hv doubts in some AS, for which ds rawat is preferable or not, is this book easily understandable or not for self study

If you are doing self study AND in OLD SYLLABUS-

My suggestion would be 

Look No Further , just refer to

M P Vijay Kumar SIR book -- both for main course and AS.

Practice Manual - Of course you cant miss .
