Finance manager vs chief accountant / finance controller

Hi,

Currently I am working as a Finance Manager in an organisation in U.A.E. which is a part of a group having group turnover of around USD 4 billion.

I have a job offer for the post of Chief Accountant from a company which is not as big as the one I am employed with. The new job is offering almost 50% more than the salary I am drawing now.

I am being hesitant to take up the offer keeping in view the designation.

Seek some advise in this regard. Will it be a right approach to accept an offer with lower designation keeping in view my future growth.

Regards.

Hi..

As far as designation is concerned once you accept new offer your designation there will not get promoted for at leat period of 2 yrs.. so if there us any promotion due for you in near future then you should match that criterion & demand for hogher post there..

Also check for performance of new co., their growth rate v/s industry growth rate & proposed life of that company in the market...

Many new co. having high growth rate but lower life in the market offers higher pay while hiring but after a 3 to 4 yrs you would face a decline in growth & affecting badly to support function...

So its alawas better to go for a sound financial co. having gud market standing..

Thanks!!
