11 August 2008For some reason I couldnt file my tax return within the stipulated time of July 2008. Can I file it now? if yes what is the period within which I have to file it? Can I file it online ? If it isnot possible online, should I file it directly in Income-tax office?

Yes , you can file the ITR now. You will only have to pay interest with your tax.....

You can file your returns either online or on paper till March 31st 2009.

Yes ofcourse you can file your return after 31july 2008. but now you paying 1% interest in your tax liability
