Filling itr for last three years
Can an assessee file ITR for AY 2011-12 in AY 2014-15?

as per law it is not possible. as per sec. 139(4), a belated return can be filed upto 1 years from the end of relevant A/Y or assessment u/s 142, whichever is first.
so as per law u cnt file this ITR,
