One of my friend has not filed his return for a.y 2010-11. Can he file the return now ? Some tds is deducted, so can he claim refund by filing return now and whether the same will be accepted by Income tax ?
Please help and suggest.

Now he can't file his return.Last date to file the return was 31st March 2012.

Dear Sir,
My name is Prantosh Das has not filled his return for A.Y 2010-2011, Can he file the return now please help me. by filling return now whether the same will be accepted by income Tax?

Belated return can be filled before expiry of one year from the end of relevant assessment year. In your case AY 2010-11 and one year expires on 31.03.2012. So you can't file return now.

DEAR MANOJ SHAH,
LAST DATE FOR FILLING OF BELATED RETURN FOR AY 2010-11 IS MARCH 31, 2012.
SO, UR FRIEND IS NOT ABLE TO FILE RETURN & CLAIM REFUND NOW.........
