Filing of income tax return for the ay 2011-2012

My gross total income for AY 2011-12 is less than basic exemption limit. Whether I have to file IT reutrn for AY 2011-12 mandatorily.

However i have filed IT return for AY 2010-11

what are the consequences of non-filing of return, if last date of submission of return & belated return is passed. 

You cannot e-file the returns for FY 10-11 AY 11-12, the maximum time limit is one year from end of AY 11-12, Which was 31-03-13, so the site wont accept the return, since it is time barred. However, you may try filing a physical return in your ward, and enclose a letter, explaining why such a delay in filing the return. I think, in case the reason is genuine, they may accept your return.

hi can i file my fathers return for ay 11-12 & ay 10-11 now he is having refund more then 30k and he retired also in ay 11-12
