Filing IT return for 2011-12

Friends

I am a retired govt, employee. My total taxable salary for the AY2011-12 is Rs.272457 and I have remitted a tax of Rs.3343/. Is it necessary to file IT return for the AY2011-12? Pl. clarify

your tax is remitted ( other than TDS under form 16), so you have to file your ITR

Respected Sir,

As per my opinion you should file return because of following factors..

1.Tax is remitted,

2.Tax is collected by Govt,

3.Evidence or Proof you reqiured for future reference.

So,after cosidering the above reason,you should file return for the sake of your Evidence as well as for the purpose of appling loan you must possess 3years IT return.

Finally,I request you to file return and get copy of Acknowledgement of ITR-1 from IT department.
