File itr for only fd income

Hi Friends,

Would like to have your advice. I want to file ITR for my wife who is a housewife.

There is only FD income being displayed in her Form26AS.

I have 2 queries.,

1. Since the interest on FD income is less than 10000, can I claim refund of the TDS.

2 As per my understanding FD should be shown under income from other sources.

Please confirm if my understanding is correct.

intt on FD to be shown under income from other sources... and if total income of your wife is below taxable limit, then tds will be refunded.
