who decides the face value of shares of any company at the time when company is going for IPO?
i find this question at many place, haven't got answer yet.

A company generally would seek help from an investment bank or some broker/agents to actually go public since it is a cumbersome task, hence, it is that investment bank or the broker/agents who underwrite the issue who decide upon the face value of the shares. However, it is obviously after discussing it with the company's management CFO etc.
