Extension of Articleship

No, Its not  necessary to do extension of articleship under the same principal 

You  can take transfer for extension period

 And  Can Continue Your Extended Articleship with another Pricipal also as per rules of ICAI.

AGree, however it is not easy to take transfer !!

There is no need to do extension of articleship under the same employer...

but as per the latest rule of ICAI, transfer of article is allowed only in the first year of training...

after that no application of transfer of training is accepted...
