The Institute of Company Secretaries of India wishes to empanel website development companies for redesigning and development of the Institute’s website i.e www.icsi.edu .
Proposals are invited from the firms, which have excellent performance records in development of website on Ms.Net platform, preferably .Net Nuke. The job may consist of the following:
Upgradation of .Net Nuke Platform and various modules associated on the same. Redesign of navigation flow and incorporating security mechanism. Translation of website in regional languages and development of additional pages on this account. Improving visibility by internet marketing by using social platforms. Incorporation of various modules on .Net Nuke like Purchase Basket, e-Group, Chat, Discussion board etc. Updation and management of skins and images on monthly basis for the duration of one year. Module for management and analysis of traffic and viewership of various pages, part parcel of the job may be value addition in news letters. Ms.Net components on various child portals which are designated for various offices of ICSI.
The list as given above is indicative and the firms will get adequate chance in the pre bid meeting to demonstrate their expertise which will be evaluated by the Institute. Some firms shall be short-listed based on the presentation and the concept developed by them during the pre-bid meeting. Only these firms, which are shortlisted will be requested to submit the financial bid.
The response may be addressed to Shri N K Jain, Secretary & CEO, The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Lodi Road, New delhi either by Registered Post/ Speed Post not later than 3:00 PM on 15.5.2010. The Institute shall not be liable for any postal delays what so ever and the Expression of interest received after the stipulated time/date are liable to be rejected summarily without giving any reason.
All disputes are subject to Arbitration, Secretary & Chief Executive Officer / or his nominee of the Institute shall be the sole arbitrator and his decision shall binding to all concerned.
The Institute reserves the right to accept or reject any expression of interest without assigning any reason at its sole discretion and the decision of the Institute will be final and binding on all concerned.

Indicative Scope of Work
1. Redesign – Website is required to be designed with good looking graphics and screens. Navigation system is required to improve so that user can know the exact path of present page. Site map is required. Any other facilities may also be proposed by the agency.
2. Addition of more facilities on new website –Brief detail of some of indicative facilities are given below-
a. Group Services for registered members – Group services are meant for group of registers visitors providing facilities like calendars, personal organizer to visitors with the advantage of sharing the same to the group’s members. Any user can start a group but any group can be debarred by ICSI. Control of rejects from the user mailbox and his subsequent debarment.
i. Chat services for registered members group wise– Chat is the service through which registered visitors can communicate to each other online.
ii. Discussion forum for registered members group wise– Discussion Forum is the service through which registered visitors can communicate to each other offline. Advantage of Discussion Forum over Chat service is storage of old discussions for reference to new visitors. Any registers visitor can post his/her suggestion or he/she may ask for advice on any topic from other visitors. Removal of specific message by administrator.
iii. Mailing to each other (Message posting) and to a group as a whole depending on individual setting of allowing mail to come or not. Over-ride facility for system administrator.
iv. Auto e-mailers for birthday.
v. Debarring a member on continuous rejections from his/her mail and subsequent automotive activation on his request.
b. Central control for managing seminars and events from Regional Offices and Chapters having Internet Connections – This service is for collecting events and seminars from Regional Offices and Chapters having internet connection online through a secured section of the website. Data collected in this way would be validated on the basis of expiry date of the event and will be displayed in the news/events section of the website. All expired data will be removed automatically. For user data will be fagged for tentative events.
c. Newsletters to registered subscribers – Visitors may subscribe for any newsletters. After subscribing, they would receive the newsletter through email instead of opening the website and downloading the newsletter. For the same user may subscribe to the mailing group and also may unsubscribe himself. The system administrator will just upload the file and the same will be forwarded to all members of this group
d. Development of paid site area on the Web- The information that will be available on a nominal payment will be Chartered Secretary, Old question papers, suggested answers, application forms etc. A system for payment and validation on expiry of period for which payment has been made is to be developed. Facility to move any service from free to paid area and vice versa.
e. Training Module on Web – The same is related to the following:
· Companies registered for providing training.
· Company Secretary providing training.
· Students requiring training.
· Vacancy position in the company City/ State wise
· Status of the student.
· Various reports (documentation can be seen)
f. Placement Services has been developed in-house by ICSI. At present this service is for members of the Institute only. It is to be extended for Licentiates and Intermediate pass students. This section may cover the conversion of the module to incorporate
g. Search the site - Search engine is needed for searching the site and the whole web. Advance features are needed to provide the Boolean search, phrases search etc.
h. Social Net working: Creative and propagation of Institute by the use of social networking sites & managing graphs on face book, twitter.
