Sec 40(a)(ia) 30% expense disallow if TDS not deducted where TDS required to deduct
all expenses such as salary royalty fees professional fees commission contract payments rent etc TDS required to be deducted
Different expenses are allowed to be paid without deducting TDS e.g. Payment to contractors Upto 30000/75000, payment of rent Upto 180000/- payment of commission Upto 15000/-, Payment of Interest Upto 5000/10000 etc. You can pay Upto that amount without TDS and you'll be allowed expenses even though.
Contact should be 30000/100000
if it's single payment it shouldn't exceed 30000 and 100000 for aggregate payments for TDS
Yes, as per FA 2017 its 30000 (for single contract)/ 100000 (Aggregate payment during the year).
