Exemption

Hi All,

We all knw that to clear any grp in Final CA, we need to get 40 marks in individual subject & 50% in aggregate in a group. Wt i wanted to know is about the scoring of 60 marks in a subject, in that does one need to score mimimum marks in remainng 3 subjects to get that exemption & whether to actually appear for the remaining 3 papers (fo eg, for 2 group, if i appear for jus 1 paper keeping a target of scoring 60 marks in that paper & rest 3 papers i do not appear, will i get through that paper??)

can anybody plss guide...

ya 60% is mandatory for the exemption for individual subject exemption which has no relation with the other u have a free choice but it is exempted for three more attempts only

To claim exemption u hav to appear in all papers in dat group and this is a mandatory provision refer regulations

To claim exemption in one of the group one has to attend all the papers of a group.

to secure exemption in any paper/s in any of the group, you should have appeared in rest of the papers. otherwise no use even if  u secure 100% makrs

I am also convinced with baburajan and my answer is same

One needs to get 50% in aggregate when we give one group or both group. when we get atleast 40 in all subjects in one group & get good marks in another then set off is available..

Exemption is given when one gets 60 marks in a particular subject. if sumone fails in other subjects or due 2 aggregate dis subject exam need not b given.

To get exemption one has to appear in the rest subject
