Client has LIC maturity proceeds which are exempt as per sec.10
Now while filing ITR
Can I directly report that income in "Exempt income" tab
or
"should I first report it in "Other sources tab" and then claim it as exemption in "exempt income " tab...
please clarify....

Sec 10 is an exempted income. All income are exempted under this section.
You hv to report it under exempted income. Include it in gti and exempt it.
