Excise return for dealer

Can a DEALER EXCISE RETURN (filled quarterly by 15th of the following month) be REVISED?

If yes, what is the procedure?

take a print out of return, correct it by pen and submit to range officer, with a letter of request to admit the change in system,

get dated aknowledgement of the letter.

he will do the needful.

but in doing that the officer will surely ask for something extra..!!

Extra is not everywhere, dont get afraid

as a dealer has no direct nexus with excise payment but he can pass only the duty . so if the dealer is genuine, he can be fearless to appear.

Thanks for the help.

But i wasnt able to get it done without paying something extra..
