@ sowmya.. It's advisable to get mention your company excise reg no in all the exicise purchase invoice (modvat copy) to avoid unwanted explanations and justification to the excise officer during excise audit. do check the correctness of the company name and address, if ECC no is missing.

@ sowmya.. Modvat copy is the Duplicate for transport - copy, usually the pink colour copy or the copy where its mentioned " Duplicate for Transport" along with the Original-white color copy of Excise Invoices.

Hi
We are a colorant manufacturing company and so far we have been selling the product in our brand name under chapter ID of 32049000 i 1 ltr packing with 16 No.'s of it in 1 Carton Box.
Till date, we have not put our MRP. In recent days few of our customers wants us to deliver the product in their brand name with their MRP.
In this case, can I go ahead with the same method of invoicing like Basic+ ED+2% CST on the above.
Should I follow a MRP abatement method (65% of the MRP value as an assesable value) for paying Excise Duty.
We have been supplying this product to paint shops, where they mix this colorant with the paint base and hence it is not a end user product.
We have not seen this chapter ID of 3204900 covered under MRP act. However the section 4A has also not dealt with this chapter ID for mandating of MRP abatement.
Can someone help us. This is my mobile number 7738265010.
Regards
Arun
