We Vardaan Water Solution’s Pvt. Ltd will be soon starting manufacturing Packaged Drinking Water also popularly known as mineral water, our product will be sold with name AquaSure from Aquaguard under trade mark & licensee from Eureka Forbes Ltd. Our plant is located at Satpur MIDC, Nasik. We wanted to know that what excise law is applicable for us.

Mineral Water comes under Chapter 22 of Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985. The Produt is classified under Tariff heading 2201 10 10. The valuation rule is MRP Valuation but you will get abatement of 45% from MRP. Central Exicse Duty is applicable 12% +2%+1%= 12.36%. But you can avail central Excise exemption up to 4 Crore turnover for a financial Year under Small Scale Industry.
