we are manufacturing unit. we can raise system generated excise inv in pre printed paper. we got permission from excise dept for computer generated invoice accordingly. we also intimate the invoice serial no. prior to use .
but my question is beside system generated invoice, is this allowed to make invoice in excell sheet as sometimes system failure occur.we can make same format in excell sheet , just to require to fill up the requisite place in printed invoice and can take print. Otherwise at the time of power failure we can use pre-printed invoice by hand written.
In Both cases is this allowed to make invoice in excell sheet. Is there any hard and fast rule. Otherwise which steps to be taken to solve the problem.
