19 January 2011Can anyone tell me the procedure claiming exemption for non conventional energy devices( NOTIFICATION NO 6/2006)?? what is the schedule for declaration for claiming exemption??

1) if you are not registered with excise, then - keep the copy of notification with you - thats all
2) if you are registered with excise - maintain separate stock of inputs and outputs for such items, otherwise reverse 5% of invoice value at the time of clearence, in case of input credit availed.
3) you have to inform R/O stating that you are producer of goods as notified in above notification under sl no 84, and state the accounting method. if required they will ask you to maintain additional records for safeguard of revenue.
