Wether submission of ER-1 retrun as Hard copy to Range office is mendatory?

its not mandatory to file hard copy to range, however submission of such copies under sign and seal save you from many troubles if error is found in your return, as you have a safeguard that you have also submitted hard copy, so the errors are in knowledge of R/O
