excise duty on packing boxes for export

sir

i have a unit manufacturing packing boxes for exporters established in panipat city since long. i have not taken excise number yet. there are so many units also established in panipat but only few of them have taken exicse registration. my turnover upto 31.12.2010 is almost Rs. 300.00 lac. what is the basic exemption and wheather there is any other exemption if we supply goods to exporters only.

if u have exemption certificatres reg vat / cst for your sales for exports, then that much amount would get deducted from turnover for calculating threshold limit of 150 lacs.
say u sold 200 lacs to exports with zero vat and they provided u proof of exports vide forms to claim zero vat, then this would get deducted from your turnover as export sales,
in absence of such forms, one can not establish that these boxes are used for export, and hence would be added to clearence for home consumption.
