Excise duty in return
I am working in a sanitary ware manufacturing co. we sale item to a trader against c form after some time he not pay the full amount against the bill outstanding so we took back the some part of material from his godown against he challan bill of his trading co. now is the question that we can took the excise and cst on the material is took back in return as sales return or not and what is the procdure for that excise and cst.

But excise advisor of Company said that the firm dont have excise registered and he is not giving the bill so it not be reversed and if you want to take it back as repair account register. is it so.
Dear Mr. Vinod,
If you are received goods with proper invoice of your dealer, based on that you can take cenvat credit of excise duty and CST also claim if the goods received within six months from the date of invoice.

the Dealer give us Invoice Challan for Goods Return and he Mention on that bill goods return. But he not given any Invoice only Challan.
