ours is a research organisation exempted under notification 10/97 from ED.
now for one remotely operated vehicle one firm is asking ED exemption +6% ED and other firm is asking EDEC (12.36%) ONLY. please advise how to go further

Under Rule 6(3)(i) of the Cenvat Credit Rules, 2004, the seller is liable to pay only 6 % ( No Cess) of the value of the exempted goods cleared by him as exempted goods.
