An asset is purchased in chennai without ED. In case of Interunit transfer, should ED be charged on this asset?

No if Excise duty not charged at the time of purchase then No ED on Transfer of this Items.

in this case

na to asset purchase krne par exise duty pay ki gayi h

na hi inter unit transfer se pehle

asset pe koi aisi process ki gai h jisey manufacture kaha ja skey

so dear , no exicise duty liability arises here.
