Can a company use exchange rate
for exports other than what is provided in the cbic notification?

No...... Company has to consider exchange rate as per CBIC notification for export , just confirm with CBIC help desk number also.
Hi,
Why can't a company consider exchange rate from any other sources for their import and export. What makes CBIC rates mandatory for import and export activities.
