what will be income tax implications of excess input credit balance as on 31st March 2018.?

No sir...i m asking about excess credit taken as per return filled and as per books of accounts...like for example I have availed excess credit in the month of November 2017 than the actual credit as per my books due to some clerical error

I think you are talking about the credit Leger in gst. So on 31stMarch, your gst account shows credit Leger balance.
This excess credit balance will not affect income tax.
