HI NITIN,
Dear your accounts paper is held on 6th of May, 2009 i.e. tommorrow.
You State that u was absent in A/c exam on the plea of Punjab Bandh but dear u cant make fool of INSTITUTE OF CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS OF INDIA bcoz there was no declaration of punjab bandh on 6th of May. Bandh was days before

Nitin its really an unfortunate incident. Anyway please verify rule regarding exemption. As far as I know xemption is granted only when you are present in all papers of a group. So please confirm it from supervisor of the centre, in next exam. But in any case do appear for all pending exams.

SO SORRY, I THOUGHT U R MISLEADING OTHERS
BUT AS PER MY OPINION IF U WANT TO CLAIM EXEMPTION U HAVE TO GIVE SITTING IN ALL SUBJECTS OF THAT RELEVANT GROUP.
BUT THIS MAY BE INCORRECT
IN THIS CASE EXPERTS MAY HELP U
U CONTINUE WITH UR PAPERS REST CAN BE SEEN AFTER THE EXAMS SO PUT ALL UR EFFORTS IN EXAMS N SCORE THE BEST OF

Dear,
Im sorry to say but being absent disqualifies you from taking exemption. You have to write all exams to avail the benefit of exemption https://www.icai.org/post.html?post_id=3749&c_id=218
"Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-regulations (1) to (5) above, a candidate who has appeared in all the papers comprised in a group and fails in one or more papers comprised in a group but secures a minimum of 60 per cent of the marks in any paper or papers of that group shall be eligible to appear at any one or more of the immediately next three following examinations in the paper or papers in which he secured less than 60 per cent. marks. He shall be declared to have passed in that group if he secures at one sitting a minimum of 40 per cent. marks in each of such papers and a minimum of 50 per cent. of the total marks of all papers of that group including the paper or papers in which he had secured a minimum of 60 per cent. marks in the earlier examination referred to above. He shall not be eligible for any further exemption in the remaining paper(s) of that group until he has exhausted the exemption already granted to him in that group.”
