Quick Summary
This discussion seeks an Excel formula to determine if a PAN number indicates a 'Company' or 'Non-Company'. The user wants to check the fourth letter of the PAN; if it's 'C', it should be classified as 'Company', otherwise 'Non-Company'. While a formula was suggested, it wasn't working as expected, and the user noted the PAN format is confidential for internal departmental use only, with specific constraints on which letters can be revealed.

Not a pertinent question indeed.
=IF((LEFT(RIGHT(A1,4),1)="C","Company","Non-Company")

Tried with that above formula. But Not working

PAN formula is confidential. And it is for dept internal purposes only ..

Only 4th letter and last letter open
