I am having my CA final exam in Nov. 2017 but I want to take DT coaching in April 2015. so anybody can please guide me whether to take coaching now or later , and if I take it now how difficult it would be to cope up with amendments..

DT is very vast, I suggest start your coaching in this coming April - 16, Dont worry about the amendments you could deal with amendment from the supplementary applicable for your attempt, but do make a daily habit of revising what is being taught. Also study daily even if it is for just 30 mins but do study daily.

"Tiny drop of water doesnot have any relevance against a Big Rock, but if tiny drops are consistently being dropped at same spot on a Rock those tiny drops will make its mark on the Big Rock".

Please note that for November 2017 Examination, Finance Act 2016 will be applicable. If you join class now and if they are going to deal with Finance Act 2015, you might feel at loss while your preparing for your exams. I would suggest you to attend coaching classes one attempt before your exam. At the mean time you can start preparing for the entire syllabus till that time, however there is probability of the syllabus undergoing change by November 2017. But, some of the subjects would continue even in new scheme for which you can make your preparation. You must also keep yourself abreast of changes which will continue to impact in the November 2017 attempt like Ind AS , IFC, GST (likely to get passed at the earliest) etc. All the best.

Thanks Mr. Saliq and Mr. Satish for your suggestions..but the dilemma is that some says to start coaching now and some says to start later on. But my reason to start it earlier is that so i can apply DT concepts during my articleship period..

If you are willing to invest your money and time to gain practical knowledge then it is ideal to get started now itself.

My answer was purely for students who want to attend classes with intention to pass the examination at the earliest and also those who cannot afford second or third time coaching, as these days the cost of coaching is simply exorbitant.
